this body of work was created a vermont studio center in may 2008. i was currently living in louisiana, where i was constantly amazed by the parades & floats to celebrate all sorts of things. this is my attempt to reference those traditions as well as political & cultural things happening beneath the surface. this was my first series (along with hide n seek; started at the same time) that was intensionally interactive & invited the viewer to discover & play...and hopefully think.
